Also this year, our ITC meeting was held on the first weekend in May. We met in the beautiful Salzkammergut region, more specifically in the nice little town of Vöcklabruck.
Vöcklabruck was explored the same Friday. A guide showed us the beautiful corners and buildings of the city and reported a lot about the city’s history. Then we went up the mountain for dinner. In the evening, the last participants arrived and joined our nice group.
Saturday started early! After breakfast we went right to our bus and started our round-trip through the Salzkammergut, passing countless lakes.
Our first stop was Hallstatt. We explored the historic site with the help of a tour guide. We visited the museum – Hallstatt is famous for their excavations – watched the creepy ossuary, and learned a lot about the history of salt boiling and mining.
Afterwards we enjoyed our lunch in the sunshine.
Next we went to the famous place of Bad Ischl. Imperial weather!!
We visited the magnificent Imperial Villa. Then we explored the place. Some men were allowed to accompany their wives to a cafe, the other had to go shopping with their wives!
We spent the evening in the cozy hotel over one or another glass of wine.
On Sunday we all had to go home. As usual, the weekend was too short!
Thank you, dear Egon, for the excellent organization and the gorgeous weather!
